Dr. Walkey specializes in the acupuncture treatment of spine and shoulder injuries.  She is recognized as Portland's Alternative Medicine specialist in healing whiplash injuries, as well as frozen shoulder, shoulder tendinitis, rotator cuff tear, RTC, pain after shoulder dislocation, muscular spasm associated with weight lifting, shoulder bursitis, and glenoid labral tears.
 
Last year Dr. Walkey healed a glenoid labral tear (SLAP lesion) occurring after a bike crash using only acupuncture, topical liniments, TDP lamp, LLLT, and Chinese herbal formulas.  This patient had been told that he would require surgery by Dr. Brenneke, a renowned shoulder orthopedic surgeon in NW Portland.  Dr. Walkey was able to heal this patient in 12 acupuncture treatments, thus avoiding surgery, and a 6 month recuperation recommended by Dr. Brenneke.
